Bible study will help you grow in your
knowledge and understanding of God’s Word
with a keen focus on Christ, our Lord.
A word about Bible Studies
Worship is the place where God gathers His people around His Word and the Sacraments – where His mighty action towards us is accomplished; which is, His forgiveness through the Cross. Bible Study gives us the opportunity to understand and delve deeper into God’s Holy Word for us. At Zion we value the instruction of God’s Word so much that all of our Bible Studies, from the Jr. High level to Adult Classes, are taught by a pastor, a commissioned minister of the word or some being instructed by one of pastors. Our Lay Bible class leaders have received and continue instruction from professors of our seminaries and/or our pastors. Direct supervision of all that is taught at Zion is the responsibility of our pastors. You have the assurance that what is taught in our Bible classes will be the pure Word of God and not just pious opinion. Our Bible classes are open to all – members and guest.
High School students are encouraged to attend our High School Bible Class or one of our Adult Classes on Sunday morning. The subject matters and topics discussed in class will continue to build on the foundation of the Prophets and the Apostles with Christ Jesus the Chief Cornerstone. These classes will well prepare you as many of you transition from the spiritual care of Zion (temporary or permanent) for college and/or job opportunities.
If you are not comfortable in a group setting there are several options to continue your reading and/or study of God’s Word. On this Website [under construction at this time - in the mean time check out our devotions page] there are pages and direct links to Bible reading and study plans as well as video instruction from Lutheran Hour Ministry or other sites reviewed and recommended by our pastors. One-on-one instruction with one of the Pastors is also an option; contact one of them to make arrangements.
May there be much joy in your journey as you Walk With Jesus Daily (WWJD).
