Worship at Zion during the COVID-19 Pandemic
Dear Brothers and Sisters of our Lord, Jesus Christ,
“The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:5b-7 ESV).
Our circuit pastors and the leadership of our congregation, along with our own pastors have been looking at recommendations that have been put out by the Synod, our District President, and other districts as to how to best proceed during this temporary “crisis” that would best serve God’s people at Zion and the local communities both physically and spiritually at this time.
Worship and Bible Study at Zion
All Worship Services and Bible Studies have been suspended until April 1. We will reevaluate at that time. It is certainly with a heavy heart to do this. For a better understanding of why we are doing this at this time, please read President Harrison's Recommendations for LCMS Churches and President Wilson's recommendations for Ohio Churches.
In the Meantime
Please remember that these are temporary measures as we walk together through our response and care during the Coronavirus pandemic. Sometimes we have to make temporary sacrifices for long-term benefits.
We pray: Lord of the Church, guide and direct our paths. Help us as we seek to care for all in our communities. Protect those who are most at risk. Bless all, especially our medical professional and emergency personnel, as they serve You by serving all those affected. May we point people toward you and the cross that we might know the care You have for us. May we serve any we find in need. Thank you Lord for the blessing you are to us. Amen.
